Sara Mouhyeddine graduated from Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, where she studied English. She then trained as a teacher at the American Language Centre in Marrakech. Her students said she could teach them an extensive vocabulary without using words by relying upon her expressive facial gestures and so on. She was also one of the young hikayat apprentices who performed regularly at the Cafe Clock in the Casbah district of Marrakech. She performed at their regular weekly storytelling sessions on Thursday evenings.
